Yearbooks are now available to purchase online in the Membership Toolkit store. The cost is $15.00 for each yearbook. You can pay online, or by using the yearbook flier that came home. If you choose to pay by cash or check, please fill out the yearbook order form and return the payment envelope to your child's homeroom teacher. Please make checks payable to MPTS PTA and write "Yearbook" in the memo line. Payments are due by March 25th. For questions, please email mptsyearbook@yahoo.com.
Come join your MPTS friends for our annual Spirit Night with the Charlotte Checkers on Friday, March 6th at Bojangles Coliseum! Tickets are $16.00 each and must be purchased online using the link below. The MPTS Singers will perform at intermission and we will have the opportunity to do the high five tunnel and "chuck a puck" clean up, please email child's name and grade to meg_220@yahoo.com if your child is interested. $5.00 from each ticket sale will go back to MPTS and everyone that reserves a seat with the MPTS group will receive a FREE Checkers hat! We look forward to seeing you there!
Please note that the date for our Quarter 2 Awards Ceremony has changed to Friday, January 31st at 9:30am in the Levine Gym at Queens. We apologize for the last minute date change; however, there were scheduling conflicts at Queens. As a reminder, we ask that all guests, including parents and families sit in the top three rows to ensure enough space for our staff and students. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
Nominations for the 2020 Lois B. Lee Award are now underway! The Lois B. Lee Award is given each year to an outstanding teacher at Myers Park Traditional School. Named for a much-loved former MPTS teacher and principal, the award includes $1,000 for the winner to use for professional development and classroom materials. This year’s winner will be presented at a luncheon for all teachers on March 12th.
Any teacher may be nominated, and nominations can come from any MPTS student or parent. Nominations may be in the form of a letter or testimonial or may be submitted using the nomination form. The nomination form contains further details but should you have any additional questions, please contact Heather at evpmpts@gmail.com.
