Photo Request for ALL Families
In the event that we are unable to return to school in time to take individual student photos to meet the yearbook print deadline, we are starting to work on a backup plan. Please submit a photo of your child - alone, from the chest up, at a reasonably close distance, and on a plain background - to email@example.com. If you are unable to email it, please text to (704) 698-0691. Please include the correct spelling of your child's first/last name, grade level, and teacher.
Candid Photos Needed
Planning for the 2020-2021 MPTS yearbook is underway and we need your help! We are in need of candid photos representing all grade levels which may include online learning, participating in a Specials class activity at home, Traditional Giving parade, packet pick up, carpool, Spirit Rock, in person learning, etc. All photos may be submitted via Photo Post which is a private sharing site where only the MPTS yearbook committee will see the photos. To upload please follow the below instructions:
Beginning in January 2021, Mrs. Guice will lead the Winter Leader in Me Parent Book Club. The group will meet virtually on Fridays from 12:00pm - 1:00pm. There will be a maximum number of 20 participants so if you'd like to participate please reserve your spot by January 10th by e-mailing Mrs. Guice at firstname.lastname@example.org, calling her at (980) 343-5522 or texting her at (980) 355-9373. CMS and MPTS are in the process of planning for the 2nd semester (beginning January 2021) for all students in grades K-12. This takes into account both in-person vs. virtual learning, as well as the transportation needs of students. All parents will be asked to complete 2 different surveys per student enrolled in CMS.
**Both surveys are due by 5:00pm on Monday, November 30, 2020. Please note that the decision indicated on these forms is permanent and in-place for your student/family through May of 2021. CMS has made it clear that we are not able to change this at the school level past November 30th. Any family who does not fill out the survey by the deadline will be defaulted to their current choice of in-person vs. virtual and will NOT be eligible for CMS transportation.
Regardless of choice for semester 2, we do not anticipate classroom teacher reassignment for your student.
If you are currently in-person and you are electing to stay in-person for the second semester, please note that your student's A or B Group rotation will not change.
If you have any questions regarding transportation or in-person vs. virtual learning, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher or MPTS administration. As a parent in today’s world, I understand that this is an enormous task to complete for your student(s), specifically in advance. Thank you in advance for making this decision in a serious and timely manner. We are happy to answer any questions that you may have.
