AFTERNOON DISMISSAL PROCESS
In order to maintain a safe and controlled dismissal process, the following procedures are followed for afternoon dismissal:
1. All car pool, walkers, and after school program students will be dismissed prior to bus riders each day.
2. All walkers that live within the “walk” zone will report to a central location on campus and will then be escorted to their designated spots of delivery on Radcliffe and Wellesley Avenues by school staff members.
3. Carpool and “non-walk zone” walkers will report to the gym for dismissal.
4. After school program students will be collected at designated locations on campus by ASEP staff will then report to their assigned classrooms.
Parents choosing to pick up students as a walker that are not designated as “zone walkers” are asked to park in the Queens auxiliary parking lot near Wellesley (not our visitor lot) and walk to pick up students at the gate leading to the school. Please let Ms. Horner, our physical education teacher, know that you are picking up your child for dismissal. She is located at the corner of the back access street and our visitor parking lot.
In order to control access points to students and maintain a safe and orderly dismissal process, parents are asked to refrain from walking up to the gym, front office and side entrances requesting to pick up children.
